2) Innovation Vouchers Scheme – Nick King, Lancaster University, InfoLab21
> Would around £3,000 of an consultants time be of use to you?
> Have you considered working with a University but have thought it too complicated, complex or costly to try?
> Would you like to try a first interaction with a University at low financial risk to your company?
> Is there something your company wants to explore, research or develop but don’t have the time or expertise to do?
If you’ve answered “yes” to any of the above the North West Regional Development Agency's Innovation Voucher Programme is something worth exploring
Businesses need to innovate to remain competitive in the face of current global challenges. This programme is a voucher scheme that will work with businesses who do not normally engage with the knowledge base (Further and Higher Education Institutions - FEI & HEI and the wider public sector), with the aim of resolving business issues which would increase a company's productivity and/or competitiveness. Many companies are not aware of the potential benefits of collaborating with the knowledge base and might be unaware of how to access the expertise that is available to them in the region.
The Innovation Vouchers scheme intends to address this lack of collaboration by supporting the costs of a first interaction with a £3,000 grant. The process to apply is supported by Business Link's broker team and is extremely straight forward so why not see if it may be of benefit to you?
