“Physical interaction with a mobile phone has long been a challenge for all users, whether it’s a problem of pressing small keys with large fingers or remembering which letters are mapped to which number when writing an email or SMS, but imagine the problem for users who are unable to press any buttons at all... They have been developing mechanisms to enable the control of a mobile phone using simply the jewellery that one is wearing through the use of magnetic sensors and the presentation will describe the challenges in designing a system to enables users to interact with a mobile phone (or other computing devices) when actual physical interaction is not possible.”
